Summary: With a grand total of 42 acts and counting, Mile High festival wristbands is going to be a tough act to follow. With two hometown bands in the line-up, 3OH!3 and The Fray, you will be hard pressed to find another festival swelling with pride. Dick"s Sporting Goods Park should accommodate festival goers quite easily, providing open space and lush grass. Think Glastonbury, U.K. What if another 9/11 event wristbands occurs? Will it be said it happened on Obama"s watch? Will he be blamed for things out of his control? What if President Obama follows UN direction and uses force in Darfur, or Somalia? Only time will tell, my friends. JON AUER: I definitely would tell you that this version of The Posies would fall into the "cohesive with a capital c" category - really. Maybe it also says something about how Ken and I are now as people as well - we"re just more comfortable with each other and ourselves. Intensity Not all sport wristbands exercise needs to be intense but some of it definitely should. Make sure that at least some of what you"re doing for movement challenges you physically - it"s how you will improve your physiology. This could mean adding sprinting, or burst training, or even just revving things up enough to break a sweat. Thanksgiving Day is celebrated on the 4th Thursday every November. It is usually a family & friends day, then sharing the things you"ve been thankful for the year. Wristbands can come into play as well on this special day by giving your loved ones some silicone wristbands that says "Thank you" or "Thank you God, I"m grateful", and you bet to see the smiles on their faces. Openers, Pink Pony, is a new and welcomed group in the Oklahoma City music community. Steven Battles, A.K.A. Chrome Pony is known for his unlikely collaborations, and this time he has paired up with Oklahoma"s Pink Haired Princess, Christina Fallin, to make Pink Pony. It is quite beautiful.

WASHINGTON - A study on quantum communication made by Chinese scientists will receive the 2018 Newcomb Cleveland Prize as it laid the groundwork for ultra-secure communication networks of the future.

The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) announced Thursday that a team of 34 Chinese physicists led by Pan Jianwei with the University of Science and Technology of China had won the award that will be delivered on Feb. 14.

This is the first time that a Chinese team wins the prize with its home-grown research.

Pan and his Chinese colleagues used a satellite called Quantum Experiments at Space Scale (QUESS) or Micius to send entangled photon pairs through the near-vacuum of space, measuring the quantum keys at receiving stations over 1,200 kilometers apart.

Scientists found that when two entangled particles are separated, one particle can somehow affect the action of the far-off twin instantly, which is what Albert Einstein described as a "spooky action at a distance."

If researchers are able to maintain entanglement over long distances, an "hack-proof" messaging encryption system could evolve, according to Pan"s study published in the journal Science in June of 2017.

The research shows that a network of satellites could one day form the infrastructure of a quantum internet.

"In principle, methods based on the phenomenon of quantum entanglement represent solutions to the problem of perfectly secure communication," said Jeremy Berg, editor-in-chief of Science and chair of the Newcomb Cleveland Prize Selection Committee.

"However, many challenges remain in converting these in principle methods into practice," said Berg. "The Newcomb Cleveland Prize winning paper presents a substantial step in addressing these challenges, demonstrating quantum communication over very long distances."

Previously, entanglement distribution had only been achieved at a distance up to 100 kilometers due to photon loss in optical fibers or terrestrial free space.

The Newcomb Cleveland Prize, AAAS" oldest award, has honored the most impactful research paper published in the journal Science since 1923.
